'Sail Away' at the Venice Biennale 2017 in the exhibition Boite-en-Valise: Generator. The small money and map boats were taken to Venice by the artist in a suitcase and placed alongside works by 5 other artists, also transported by them in a suitcase. 'Sail Away' was well sited here on the canal-side balcony and main room in the small palace. The boats looked as if they had come from the canal or were about to go back into the canal to contunie their journey as trading or sea faring vessels. This exhibition travelled along with the artists and their suitcases to Point of Contact Gallery in Syracuse, New York where new pieces were generated out of both the suitcases and first stage of the exhibition in Venice. See Boite-en-Valise: Generator 'Exhibitions' section for more information.

Material: paper currency notes, travel tickets, maps, cotton thread, paint brushes, skewers.
